‘This is Lagos: part III’ is a 40 minutes Lagos soundscapes installation located on the second floor of the Kiasma museum of Contemporary art and overlooking the Finnish parliamentary building.
As a result of this strategic placement, the installation creates an audio-visual experience that initiates a dialogue between the two cities; Lagos and Helsinki.
The listener’s eardrums are enveloped with a collage of Lagos soundscapes streaming from the earphones, while he/she is observing the Helsinki streets outside.
The installation is part of the ARS11 exhibition [15th of April to 27th of November 2011].
